USSR 1941-1995 Unit

Introductory Essay

This unit covers Stalinist USSR in ww2 and the last years of Stalin's leadership. After Stalin, all the leaders are covered up until Boris Yeltsin's leadership after the fall of the USSR. It covers materials that prep for a Paper Three question, of interest to HL students, although SL students will find this useful as well (for Paper Two questions about Cold War). Most foreign policy issues for every leader (except for Yeltsin) are covered in other units (ww2, Cold War), so the emphasis is mostly on domestic policies.
